Ephrata Unleashed Dog Park Tears into Town

Picture
When someone says, “Ephrata’s going to the dogs,” that’s usually a bad thing. But not when you’re talking about a 40,000 square foot dog park filled with
drinking water fountains for you & your pup, ramps, benches
and, of course, doggie waste stations.

Yes, 40,000 square feet!

Coming SOON!

Ephrata Unleashed Dog Park is slated to break ground late summer 2022. A partnership between the Borough of Ephrata, Mainspring of Ephrata and the Ephrata Dog Park Committee, made up of community members, allows this highly anticipated project to move forward with a tangible schedule and fundraising activities.

With the planned site located on the Haller Homestead property,
Old Mill Road, next to the Community Gardens, the park will be sectioned into two areas, large dog and small dog, and feature a handicap accessible double-gated entrance. The park will be opened to the public with rules clearly posted, and cameras and lights will provide the needed safety
 and security measures.

“I am thrilled that Ephrata will soon be home to a top notch dog park,” said Ephrata Borough Councilwoman Linda Martin, “With the community dog park committee leading the charge, the Borough is also enlisting the support of Mainspring of Ephrata. What a great display of how important public / private partnerships can be to a community.”

“What a great amenity to add to our ever-growing list of fun things to do in Ephrata,” said Councilwoman Martin.
